Calling all Berliners who fancy trying their hand at illustrating, drawing, painting or sketching: it’s possible to get your creative juices flowing in the city on Sundays!
That’s exactly what happened at BIKINI BERLIN on one Sunday in February. Around 15 Berlin locals got together at our concept shopping mall for three hours to take part in the collaborative project Sunday Sketching Berlin, organised by artists Susannah Garden and Kate Voronina.
They regularly bring people together to sketch: always on Sundays, always with a different theme and always in a different location. Whether that’s the Natural History Museum, the Humboldt Forum, an underground station or simply just a florist’s – the resulting creations are always as unique and varied as the creatives themselves.
All sessions are led by different artists. ‘Composition with inside light’ was the theme that was taught and learnt at BIKINI BERLIN. We’re highly impressed by the artworks created at BIKINI BERLIN and can’t stop admiring the interpretations of our flight of stairs, Kantini and the panoramic window.
Further creations from the Sunday Sketching session at BIKINI BERLIN can be found on our Instagram account.
